This year we want to continue our ethic of quality and top notch customer service that will help to create an outstanding environment that our guests have come to love and expect.

Greeting and Check In Training Date: May 16 These volunteers are the first face of Polo.  You will greet everyone who arrives at the event, check for their tickets or assist them with will call.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Some positions are seated, some are standing.  Some will be in the shade, some will be more in the sun.  Lots of guest interaction.  Some admin. Fri - Sun Jon Kelley -
Escorts to Tables Training Date: May 16 Given the size of the tents, guests may find it difficult to locate their tables.  These volunteers will walk guests from the entrance to their assigned tables.  Additionally, volunteers will orient guests on the layout of the event while on the way to their tables. (Example…auction, bar, restrooms, etc.).  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  There will be a lot of walking and strong customer service skills are required. Fri - Sun Jon Kelley -
Silent Auction Training Date: May 16 :  Volunteers must be able to work all three days.  We have over 100 auction items each day and a computerized bidding system that must be learned.  Auction volunteers will assist guests with the bidding process and check out.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  This is a walking and standing position.  Strong presentation and sales skills desired. There will be heavy guest interaction involving sales and education on the bidding system. Fri - Sun Aaron Fleming -
Auction - Live Training Date: May 16 These volunteers are usually individually assigned to assist guests in the bidding process.  Volunteers are picked based on their individually scheduled role during the Black Tie Event on Friday night. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Spotting in the audience is a standing position. Fri - Sun Aaron Fleming -
VIP Concierge Training Date: May 16 A very guest-oriented position.  Sponsors have donated up to $25,000 to invite their guests to the Denver Polo Classic.  It is expected that the Concierge role will regularly check on guests to make sure they have everything they need to enjoy the evening. This is where we absolutely deliver the best customer service possible.  Delivering the best customer service will ensure our sponsors return to donate the following year.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Strong customer service / social skills and a lot of walking. Fri - Sun Chris Haeck -
Raffle Training Date: May 16 Raffle is a one of our largest sources of donations.  These volunteers must possess strong sales skills that include those who will be willing to approach every guest in the tent multiple times to get a sale.  This is a really fun job and a great way to interact with the guests.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  This position involves a lot of walking around and selling. Fri - Sun Dave Sjerven -
Restaurants Training Date: May 16 On Friday night, volunteers will help usher tables by section to eliminate congestion and improve the overall guest experience.  Additionally, volunteers may help serve the major sponsors wine and champagne and possibly a premixed martini or to order drinks (eliminate bar congestion) or help clear tables of plates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  This position involves a lot of walking, minimal carrying of plates, etc. but mainly you will ask the DA 20-30 guys to carry for you. Fri - Sun Heath Kirschner -
Retail Training Date: May 16 Throughout the weekend, volunteers will help staff the apparel tables selling Denver Polo Classic hats, shirts, umbrellas and other goods.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Position involves sitting and/or standing handling cash and processing credit card transactions.  Cash handling experience desired. Fri - Sun Ashley Bracken -
Bar Training Date: May 16 Working the bar is very hard work.  This is probably the messiest, hottest job we have for volunteers.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position involves standing, cutting fruit, reaching into cold ice troughs for drinks, pouring and cleaning. Fri - Sun Billy Brown -
