  Neil Lillard grew up in a small farming community in Eastern Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in construction management. Although he has an engineering and construction background he has always had an interest in art. His subject matter generally consists of landscapes, animals and portraits produced in watercolor, pastel and oil.
  
  Using their artwork Neil and Cassandra Lillard created a sticker book for children called "What Do You See, Under The Sea?" The book was published by Chronicle books in October 2009. The father/daughter team was inspired to create a book that allows a child total creative control, as well as unlimited possibility for imagination, without the limitation of language. The book consists of eleven play scenes of abstract art that make the perfect backdrop for the addition of 200 reusable vinyl stickers of fish fins, eyes, crab legs, and various undersea parts.
